ITINERARY

There is hardly a better way to get around the area of the National Park Krka River then cycling. This cycling route will lead you thru Croatian history enjoying the landscape of forests and hills, monuments and bird reserves.

Our first destination is the famous 44-meters high Skradinski Buk waterfall. The fantastic karst formations and travertine waterfalls make it a beautiful swimming area.

After a short sightseeing tour we will bike to the shores of Visovac Lake. You can take and optional boat trip to the Visovac Island and Franciscan monastery.

After sightseeing the monastery and museum the boat will take you back to the shore to continue our biking tour. Before finishing our cycling day we will make a short swimming break on the beautiful beach on the upper part of the National park Krka River. Continuing back to Skradin we have a magnificent ride downhill with a scenic view over the Prokljan Lake and town Skradin.

ACTIVITY LEVEL:
Basic cycling experience is needed. Children from 12 years old accompanied by parents can participate. We use professional bicycles KONA, with one trained guide in each group. You will get a helmet, bicycle and instructions. Extra gear and tools is provided. Shorts or bathing suit, T-shirt and sport shoes is all you need to wear. Don’t forget your sun cream, water and picnic.

Min 4 – max 16 persons per group; larger groups are on request.

Weather – the summers are typically warm and sunny. From May to October temperatures are comfortable for hiking, paddling, and swimming. Rain is always a possibility in Croatia so it is essential to bring adequate rain wear and a jacket in case of inclement weather.
