We will also take you to Varaždin, one time Croatian capital, and a fine example of a central European baroque town with it’s churches and palaces, as well as a medieval fortress. Today Varaždin is known for it’s culture and art manifestations and it’s charming little streets leave every visitor impressed. It is a city museum, a city of exhibitions, fashion, pupils and students, a city of modern life. Along the way we will visit the pilgrimage site of Marija Bistrica, a national sanctuary since the early 18th century, and blessed by Pope John Paul II. in 1998.
